PayPal and International payments

Well we have had some interest from people in other countries. The problem is that PayPal does not seam to work as they say it does. Most people can not use the standard paypal to make overseas purchases. I have had long discussions with them concerning this matter. Every time I call I get a new answer to the same question. The Customers that are trying to purchase from overseas get totally different answers to why they can not make the purchase.

This is an E-Mail that I received from the concerning this matter:

Dear Brian Marsh,

If you're having trouble completing your payment, here are some things to keep in mind:

Make sure you have a valid payment method

To make a payment, you need to link a bank account or a debit or credit card to your PayPal account. If you've used PayPal in the past, it may be that your debit or credit card has expired. To find out if your card has expired:

1. Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
2. Click "Profile" at the top of the page.

3. Click "Add or Edit Credit Card" to see your cards and their expiration dates.

4. Click "Edit" to update your card details.

There may be a sending limit on your PayPal account

Your sending limit is the total amount you can spend with PayPal before you need to get verified. You can get Verified by confirming a bank account or getting approved for the PayPal Plus MasterCard or PayPal Buyer Credit.

To view your sending limit:

1. Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.

2. Click "View Limits" (if you don't see this link, you've already lifted your sending limit).

3. The remaining amount you can send is listed under Sending Limit.

4. To remove your limit, follow the instructions on the Sending Limit page.

Your card issuer may have declined the transaction

If the bank that issued your card declined the payment, you'll need to:

Check to make sure there is enough money for this transaction you may have hit your credit limit.
Make sure you haven't gone above the monthly limit set by your issuing bank.

Try again later. Sometimes that's all it takes.

Thank you for using PayPal!

The PayPal Team

They also told me that in some cases they cannot verify the address on some cards and this is why they are not being completed.
