Cottonwood lakes 2009
This trip was a great trip for the beginig of the season. It was a solo trip that I did in 2 1/2 days just walking around and exploreing the area. Got a lot of great pictures you can see them all at http://www.backpackerovenphotos.shutterfly.com/ This is a Spot adventure map of the trip. I used the Bemco Backpacker Oven for all my meals like pizza, corn bread and chili, blueberry muffins, banana nut muffins ect. This Backpacker Oven is great to help save some food weight as the uncooked baked foods cook up to a lot more than you would normaly get for the weight of the food. I am thinking of working on a wood fired backpacking oven as this would even save more weight in fuel.
